I have only been to one ALA convention and I couldn't afford any of the sessions, so my free exhibit hall pass had to suffice.
ReplyDeleteFor all my grievances with ALA, I do plan on attending 2014 in Vegas. I really want all of my librarian friends to go, so we can party it up together. The way I keep talking it up, I think they're expecting me to get hitched to some random librarian I meet... that ought to make for a memorable convention for everyone.
It definitely is pricey, but I figure I should go just to go since it's my first year in the field and it's only an hour drive from home. I am mostly looking forward to hanging out with people from my cohort though!
Delete2014 in Vegas sounds great! I probably won't do next year since my library is hosting the annual conference for the Association of Christian Librarians and I want to be involved in that. But you can count on me for partying in Vegas!
